This No.8 Mk1 is in very good condition, with typical transit/age marks visible on the woodwork. The bore is pristine, showing sharp rifling and no throat wear. The muzzle retains its standard round crown, and the rifle carries matching numbers throughout. It has been inspected and function-tested by TVG but remains otherwise untouched.
The rifle is fitted with a standard FS22B Parker Hale tunnel foresight and element holder (with elements) mounted on the pistol grip. The original .22 ladder rear sight has been removed and replaced with a Parker Hale PH5DC aperture rearsight, offering a significant improvement in precision. The rifle bears the customary proof marks, and the bolt correctly matches the receiver. The trigger releases cleanly at 2 lbs 11 oz, providing a crisp and predictable break.
