This Mauser .22 Mm410B sporter in superb condition having been professionally restored by TVG, manufactured by Mauser Oberndorf between 1936 and 1938, the bore is pristine and the rifle is in completely original condition, including the Mauser 5rd magazine and butt plate. The rifle is fitted with the correct period Kohler/Wetzlar scope and rings. As one would expect, this rifle is extremely accurate, completely reliable and an excellent classic rifle for the discernable collector.
Metal work has 100% blueing and there is no wear to the receiver and the bolt cycles smoothly without any excess movement and the two stage trigger is a light crisp release at 2lb 4oz. Receiver markings are serial number, company crest, proof marks and inspectors stamps. The receiver is machined with a period 12mm scope rail and has been fully serviced. The rifle is fitted with an original 5rd magazine.
The bolt has been inspected and has received a major service. The bolt cycles smoothly with no noticeable wear, feeds and extracts without fault. Bolt face is excellent, unmarked and the bolt is numerically matched to the receiver
The barrel is a light weight sporter profile barrel with a perfect bore. The muzzle is threaded (½ x20UNF) and fitted with a thread protector should the user want to fit a muzzle break or moderator. Foresight assembly is complete but I am unsure if the protector is original. However, the rearsight is original, is graduated from 25-200m and is windage adjustable.
The original walnut stock has been fully restored having been marked and fitted with numerous sling swivels over the years. Whilst the woodwork has a number of patches, condition is excellent.
Scope & Rings
Scope is a period x2.5 magnification E.Kohler and is excellent condition and with superb optics. Reticule is a German No1. Rings are period (manufacturer unknown) and are of the correct “see through” and quick release type so allowing the use of the ironsight's, when the scope is fitted.
