This BSA Hunter is in good condition having been serviced and accuracy tested by TVG. Ideal foxing rifle in .22 Hornet, it is accurate, with very little recoil and has a mild report. As one would expect, this rifle is accurate, completely reliable and an excellent classic rifle for pest control.
Metal work has 100% blueing and the bolt cycles smoothly without any excess movement and the two stage trigger is a light crisp release at 3lb. Receiver markings are serial number, company crest, proof marks and inspectors stamps. The receiver is machined with a period 17mm scope rail and has been fully serviced. The rifle has an internal 5rd magazine.
The bolt has been inspected and has received a major service. The bolt cycles smoothly with no noticeable wear, feeds and extracts without fault. Bolt face is excellent, unmarked and the bolt is numerically matched to the receiver
The 21” barrel is a light weight sporter profile barrel with a reasonable and accurate bore. The muzzle has been crowned as can be seen in the pictures.
The original walnut stock has been restored, but does have the odd transit mark.
