This Ruger No.1B was manufactured in 1998 and has seen little use. Barrel is 23” long, is in lovely condition, with sharp, bright rifling and showing no wear. The muzzle has a 11 degree inverted crown, is extremely accurate, having only shot 105rds during my ownership.
I built the rifle with accuracy in mind and therefore I have replaced the woodwork with a rare Bell & Carson polymer forend and butt. The forend has been fully bedded and I have achieved groups as small as 7 -10mm shooting fully supported at 100 yards with match grade loads. Bell & Carson stocks are no longer made but are extremely robust and suitable for all weathers, making this an ideal rifle for the discerning gamekeeper or a person that wants an excellent example of one of Americas best firearms.
Scope is for show only, however the Burris adaptors are available with the rifle allowing for a wide range of rings to be used.
